A person is required to remain silent and listen attentively whilst the Jumuah Khutba is in progress. Talking to others and being distractive whilst the Imam is delivering the Khutbah is not allowed. Great rewards have been promised to those who remain silent and listen attentively to the Jumuah Khutbah.

The merits of occupying the first Saff (row) for Salah are soundly established from the Hadith. Generally, people have become unmindful of these great rewards and tend to forego this opportunity to earn easy rewards. There is a tendency for people to sit in the rear of the Masjid before Salah. Ideally one should make an attempt to occupy the front row as soon as one enters the Masjid.

It is permissible to utilise the skin of the Qurbani Animal for one's personal use, e.g. as a Musallah or to make a pouch, etc. However, if the skin is sold, it is not permissible to use the income thereof for oneself. It is Wājib to give this money in charity. Sale of the skin without the intention of donating/ giving the money in charity, is not permitted. (Durrul Mukhtar)
