For example, Allah Ta'ala states in the Noble Quran: "And do not insult/swear those whom they (the mushrikeen), worship instead of Allah; lest they (the mushrikeen) also insult Allah.” (S. 06, V. 108)

As Muslims, we only believe in Allah Ta’ala as our Rabb. Any other deity is absolutely condemned. In every, and all situations, associating partners with Allah Ta’ala (shirk) is regarded as an unpardonable sin and is thus wholly rejected. However, should we, as Muslims, vilify and label the idols of the disbelievers with nasty and offensive labels, then they too will want to vilify our Rabba, Allah Ta’ala. In principal it was, is and will be acceptable to reject, in the strongest possible terms … without being aggressive or belligerent … any deity except Allah Ta’ala.

However, common sense informs us that doing so openly and publicly is bound to cause more fitna. Since the disbelievers lack knowledge of our noble Deen-ul-Islam, it is normal for them to become deeply emotional. Sadly, a concoction of serious emotion and ignorance can be very, very disastrous and explosive. Trapped in such a mish-mash of annoyance and hateful emotion can easily provoke deliberate and uncalled for insults and degradation of our Rabb, Allah Ta’ala.

Despite all the hardships, mistreatments and the many attempts to annihilate the blessed (Mubarak) personality of our Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), the most beloved of Allah Ta’ala, never ever belittled, disgraced or castigated the idols that the idolaters (mushrikeen) worshipped. To the contrary, our Leader, Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) presented to them the purity and serenity of Deen-ul-Islam.

Let alone human-kind, our beautiful Leader and Guide, Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) did not even utter anything untoward even to an animal. Neither a negative and slanderous utterance, nor a vulgar and obscene word was ever heard from the blessed (Mubarak) mouth of Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

This undoubtedly, was/is/ and will always be the warm “qualities and character” of a truly “grand, affectionate, loving and the purest” personality.
