Worshipping Allah Jalla Shaanuhu and being obedient to the laws of Allah (Jalla Shaanuhu) generates noor (light). The opposite is equally true, committing a sin drowns one in gloom, grief, darkness and depression. Ah, just ponder about the condition of insaan if only he cultivates a deep desire to:
The life of a person is largely dependent on the company and people that surround you. By nature people are influenced by the type of company one keeps.
The word al-Mizaan (the scale) appears quite often in the Noble Quran and the Ahadith. This is indeed a clear indication of its importance in the life of a Believer. More critically, the word points towards the reality of our deeds being weighed in the Hereafter.
Good deeds are indeed beloved to Allah Ta’ala, and are securely deposited in the “bank” of the hereafter. Simultaneously, there are also clear warnings for doing good deeds for name, fame and gain --- “riyaa” (show). As a matter of fact, “riyaa” (showing-off) is a very serious, hated and condemned act. Additionally, it is openly looked-down-upon and despised in man, particularly in a Muslim.
Allah Ta’ala loves the entire creation since He alone created every living being and everything that is contained in this world. From among the living things, human beings are dearest to Allah Ta’ala.

In all our activities and discussions we are advised to adopt a gentle and soft approach. This also means that things should not be done with haste but rather after careful thinking and with a positive attitude.
The ahadtih of our beloved Nabi (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) encourages us of a number of deeds (Aamaal) which on the Day of Qiyaamat will be a means of increased Noor.

Backbiting is probably the most widespread sin committed on a daily basis. Sadly, we have become totally unmindful of this evil. It is so common that it has become part of our daily language pattern. Such is the scourge of backbiting that one doesn’t even know that one is plagued and infected by it.
Hakeem ul Ummah Thanvi rahmatullahi alayh stated:
Man's life is the property' of Allah Ta'ala and He has imposed on us rights in respect to our own lives. Life has been bestowed to us as an Amaanat. (Trust). It is therefore incumbent to utilize and guard this Amaanat according to the Divine Command. Among the rights incumbent on us in respect of our lives are:
This chapter is taken from Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ashraf Ali Thanvi (r.a.)’s “The Rights of Others in Islam”. The eBook is a little brief, but deals with most aspects of Huqooq-ul-Ibad in general.
“As a great deal of rights have been ordained in Islam, due to a person being close to you or due to having the same religion, so too some rights are ordained due to us being from the same species. That is, due to being human it is necessary to be considerate of them, even though they may not be Muslims. Their rights are:
i.Without reason do not give trouble to or harm anyone, neither in his person nor in his wealth.
ii.Without any Shari’ reason do not speak evil or insult anyone.
iii.If you see someone afflicted with difficulty, poverty or sickness, then help him, give him food and drink, and give him medical treatment.
iv.Even in those cases where Shari’at has given permission to punish someone, do not be cruel or excessive, nor should you threaten him unjustly.”

There is no shortage of complaints when it comes to giving up sins and the struggle which ensues between individuals and their nafs, as well as Shaytaan.
Hazrat Maulana Jalaluddeen Rumi (rahmatullah alayh) has mentioned a story in his Mathnavi Sharief, of a worm that was told: “You will find a delicious, juicy grape on the grapevine.”
During a visit to Madina Munawwarah, I was sitting in the courtyard, on the marble floor, outside the Musjidun Nabawi, near the Raudha Mubarak, looking at the Green Dome, and in deep thought, when a doctor from Johannesburg, walked by.
Many people do not know how to appreciate appreciation. If someone were to thank us or express their appreciation, often times we do not know how to take that properly. Sometimes that gets to our heads and we get caught up in vanity which is an extremely deadly disease of the heart.
Hadith Qudsi says that Allah Taala said, “I was a hidden treasure, and I wished that I be recognized, and this is why I created.” Hence the reason for creation was love, and therefore he loves what he has created. Subsequently he loves the believers even more intensely.
