Most often we are not even aware of what happens in our communities and these kids would be left to fend for themselves and deal with the trauma of losing their parents. Luckily we have dedicated organisations like Darul Ihsan who do their best to assist these children by assisting them as much as communitycontribution allows.
Losing ones parents at a young age often leaves children completely displaced. These kids need a place to live, the support of family and community members, counselling to come to terms with their loss and interaction with friends and family members to become reintegrated into society. In some cases there are no relatives that can house the children and most often the responsibility of ensuring the well being of these children falls on concerned members of the community and community organisations.
How do we help to make a difference within our community and to the Ummah? The answer is simple. Become a pillar of hope and strength to neighbours and family members in need of support. This support plays a vital role in giving hope to people who often feel like they have none left, especially our orphans. With Ramdhaan around the corner let us strive to make a difference in the lives of people who need it the most.
