Brother to a Brother

Spending is a means of removing difficulties, obstacles and most importantly, neutralising the anger of Allah Ta’ala.
Allah Ta’ala loves the act of giving. Undoubtedly, everything belongs to our Creator, Allah Rabb-ul-Izzat. Thus, any generosity of man invariably confirms that man is assigned with only temporary trusteeship.

Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله عنه) reports that Nabi Muhammad (ﷺ) said :
“A Muslim is a Muslim to another : he is not unjust to another, nor does he speak rudely to another, as long as he is helpful to his brother Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) fulfils his need. Whomsoever removes a difficulty from his brother, then Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) will replace, in honour of that deed, some major difficulty on the Day of Qiyamat. Additionally, whomsoever conceals his brother’s defect / fault, then Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) will conceal his faults on the day of Qiyamat” (Baihaqi)

In this comprehensive hadith Nabi-e-Akram (ﷺ) has highlighted brotherly relationship, as well as being acutely conscious and considerate of your fellow brother. Honouring a Muslim and acknowledging his/her dignity, respect and decorum is indeed part of Iman.
This hadith is further very clear and unambiguous about the close bond, brotherhood and goodwill that ought to exist among the Muslims. The Noble Quran also speaks of Muslims as being “Auliya” unto one another. This is a direct reference to the extra-ordinary and special friendship and brotherhood among the Muslims.
Emphasising the significance of “brotherhood” among the Muslims, yet another hadith confirms the superiority of abiding love and “brotherhood” among the Muslims.

The hadith states :
“A Muslim is one who is safe from another Muslim by (any and all actions) via his hand and his tongue.”
