Disaster has struck the Cato Crest informal settlement again. A fire started at the Cato Crest informal settlement and destroyed the homes of about 100 families. Tragically two lives were lost due to the fire.

Darul Ihsan and Radio Islam recently hosted Hafiz Abu Bakr, the world-acclaimed reciter of poetry from Pakistan. Programmes were held in Port Shepstone, Stanger, Newcastle and Pietermaritzburg. In Durban a programme was held at the NMJ Hall and another was held at Masjid ut Taqwa.

Alhamdulillah, on Wednesday, April 6 the Youth of the Ummah ‘Youth Activity Day’ was held at the Hazelmere Dam.
Eighty eight (88) boys between the ages 12 to 18 and 8 full time facilitators attended the ‘Youth Activity Day.’
