Live in Harmony or Separate with Kindness!!!

It is the last resort when all else has failed.

Notwithstanding this, Islam being a religion that has guided its followers in all aspects of life, has recognised the fact that not all marriage relationships remain harmonious. Hence, it has given guidance in relation to Talaaq, the exit from a troubled marriage.

The Noble Qur'an, clearly states “stay together on good terms or separate with kindness.” (Surah Baqarah –Verse 229)

A husband who refuses to divorce his wife “with kindness” and aims to frustrate her by not releasing her from a broken-down marriage due to selfish and egoistic reasons is clearly going against the above injunction of the Noble Qur'an. Such men should avoid the wrath and looming chastisement of Allah, by swiftly rectifying the wrong they are perpetrating.

Guidance of the Ulama should always be sought and adhered to in such matters.
