Q: If a Masjid has a female section, can one who is in the state of Haidh sit in the women’s section for programs? If not can a mat be placed at the back of the women’s section for those in Haidh to sit on?

A: It is not permissible for a woman in the state of Haidh to enter any place duly declared as a Shari’ Masjid. However, if the ladies' section is not part of the Masjid, but rather the Sahn etc., then it will be permissible for her to sit in this section. Hence, if the ladies section is part of the Masjid proper, then she will not be allowed to enter the ladies section.
