Question: Is it Makrooh for women to perform Salah without any jewelry?
Answer:
We have not encountered this ruling in any Fiqh texts from the early scholars. Therefore, it would be difficult to classify it as Makrooh.
Regarding the narrations, the Marfoo' (saying attributed to Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) narration attributed to Ali (Radhiyallahu Anhu) is not suitable for citation. However, the Mawqoof (saying attributed to a Sahabi) narrations from Aisha (Radhiyallahu Anha) and Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) are suitable for reference. Additionally, there is a Maqtoo' (saying attributed to a Tabi’) narration from Ibnu Sireen (Rahimahullah), stating that a woman performing Salah without wearing any jewelry resembles men, and for this reason, it is considered disliked.
N.B: These narrations specifically address women wearing jewelry while performing Salah.
Therefore, in our considered opinion, if a woman possesses jewelry, it would be encouraged for her to wear it during Salah to avoid resembling men.
