A: Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radiyallahu Anhu) enjoyed a unique privilege in that four generations of his were all Sahabah. His parents, himself, his children and his grandchild all were Sahabah.
Both the parents of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radiyallahu Anhu), his father Abu Quhafah and his mother Ummul Khair, had accepted Islam. Ummul Khair accepted Islam in the beginning periods of Islam, while Abu Quhafah accepted Islam during the period of the conquest of Makkah Mukarramah. Abu Quhafah lived to see the khilaafat of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radiyallahu Anhu), and passed away approximately six months after him Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radiyallahu Anhu). His father’s name was Uthmaan and his mother’s name was Salma.
The full lineage of Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radiyallahu Anhu) is as follows: Abdullah ibn Abi Quhafah Uthman ibn Aamir ibn Amr ibn Ka’b ibn Tameem ibn Murrah ibn Ka’b ibn Luay. This is where his ancestry meets with the ancestry of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
