Q: Is ‘Hidaad’ (during Iddah) applicable if there are no Mahrams (menfolk) in the house?

A: The rulings of Hidaad (avoiding adornment and related acts prescribed by the Shari’ah) are applicable for the entire period of the Iddah, even if there are no Mahrams present at the home wherein Iddah is being observed.
