The Citizen said that a “highly placed source” told the newspaper that Sexwale was set to be sacked in a Cabinet reshuffle.

“Sexwale has been speaking against Zuma’s government lately. Zuma wants him out,” the source reportedly said.

According to media reports from the last few weeks, Sexwale is apparently gunning for the presidency.

Government spokesperson Jimmy Manyi and presidential spokesperson Mac Maharaj both refused to comment on the report.
