The dangerous flooding has also reportedly claimed the life of a five-year-old child in Limpopo.
Joining provincial leaders on the ground, President Cyril Ramaphosa visited Mbaula village; outside Giyani; which was an area hit hardest by the floods. Together, they surveyed the damages caused by the unrelenting rain.
The president stated, “We are collating all the information on people who either have gone missing or passed away. So, all that is being collated.”
The South African National Defence Force has since despatched two helicopters to aid in finding and rescuing missing people.
