On the outskirts of Pretoria, the university is expected to include lecture halls, office blocks, laboratories, a library, an auditorium, research halls, a student centre, a cafeteria, coffee shops, and restaurants. Accommodation for staff and for 1,500 students will also be included.
Over 23km of underground water piping will be constructed, and the university will include water storage facilities with 19.3 million litres worth of storage, estimating to seven Olympic-sized swimming pools. Alongside 40km of fibre optic cables, 7.1 million bricks will be used for buildings, 110,000m² of plastering, and 30,000m² of ceilings and 30,000m² of tar roads which amounts to roughly four rugby fields.
Expected to be completed by 1 January 2028, the facility will accommodate 5,000 undergraduate and 1,500 postgraduate students.
