Due to the pandemic and the lockdown many have lost their jobs.

However, some who have, have chosen to look for alternative means of income by seeking opportunities - even though they are very difficult to come across under the circumstances.

Fathima, a revert to Islam living at Umgababa along the South Coast of Kwazulu-Natal, saw an opportunity and took the initiative to open a ‘spaza’ shop in a vicinity where she saw a ‘gap in the market.’

Fathima approached Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre for some assistance to provide her with some building material for her to be able to construct a more robust structure to run the tuckshop.

Impressed by Fathima’s sense of enterprise and need to empower herself, Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre assessed the situation and approved the provision of funds for her to purchase building material to construct a structure.

With a humble and gratifying heart, I feel honoured and privileged to get the opportunity to thank the management of Darul Ihsan for providing the means for me to build my tuckshop.

I make dua to Allah that He shower His endless blessings, guidance and rewards upon all those involved in this project.
