I am a Housekeeping Manager at a hotel and the salary I earn is inadequate for me to take care of myself or even afford to pay for my daughter’s nursing tuition fees - with the result that I was always in debt.
I have good sewing machinist skills and my dream has always been to be able to own an industrial sewing machine and use my skills to supplement my income.
Of course, finding the finance to purchase such a machine seemed impossible.
The owner of a wholesale fabric supply business suggested that I approach Darul Ihsan Centre for assistance towards purchasing such a machine and, if necessary, he would also make a referral on my behalf as he is well aware of my sewing skills.
When I approached Darul Ihsan Centre I was nervous.
However, I expressed my need to the Centre to start a home based business with a business plan and names and contact details of fabric suppliers and potential customers.
I was given a full hearing and treated with dignity and, Alhamdulillah, I was granted the finance to purchase the industrial sewing machine.
I would like to thank your organisation from the bottom of my heart for making it possible for me to set-up my home based business.
No amount of words can express Jazakallah for what Darul Ihsan has done for me.
I would also like to thank the wholesale supplier of fabrics who has given me 3 bin bags of fabric – at no cost – as a boost to start my business.
I also received fabric offcuts – at no cost – from three other suppliers.
Alhamdulillah, I now have an order from a customer to make one thousand hessian bags.
Once again Jazakallah and Shukran to your organisation for empowering me.
As my appreciation I want be in a position to motivate any person who shows initiative to empower themselves.
May Allah SWT abundantly reward each and every person that has made it possible to help me to be able to empower myself, Ameen.
