Who are the 'Asharah Mubasharah'?
This incredible glad tiding is mentioned in the Hadith. Hazrat Abdur Rahman ibn Auf (R) narrates that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said,
“Abu Bakr (R) is in Jannah, Umar (R) is in Jannah, Uthman (R) is in Jannah, Ali (R) is in Jannah, Talha (R) is in Jannah, Zubair (R) is in Jannah, Abdur Rahman ibn Auf (R) is in Jannah, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (R) is in Jannah, Sa'eed ibn Zayd (R) is in Jannah and Abu Ubaidah ibnul Jarrah (R) is in Jannah. (Tirmizi & Mishkat)
Each individual from this golden group is honoured with the unique glad tiding of entry into everlasting success and paradise in this world. This bears testimony to the firmness of their belief and salvation in both worlds.
We should endeavour to learn about the lives and achievements of these stars of guidance, so through their emulation and blessings we may also achieve the ultimate goal of success in both worlds.
