Marwan then said to him, ‘I will not ask you for any proof after this.’ Hazrat Saeed bin Zayd (Radiyallahu Anhu) then made Dua, ‘O Allah, if this woman is lying then take away her eye-sight and let her die in that same land of hers.’

Urwah (Rahimahullah) says, ‘She did not die until her sight was gone and whilst she was walking in her property she fell into a hole and died.’” (Bukhari #3198, Muslim #135, #1610)

The narration of Muslim has an addition by Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Abdillah ibn Umar that he had seen this woman blind searching for the walls saying, “The curse of Saeed (Radiyallahu Anhu) has afflicted me”. He also adds that she passed by a well in that same tract of land which she was disputing and fell into it. That became her grave.
