Hazrat Afeef Kindi (Radiyallahu Anhu) says, “I was once in Mina with Hazrat Abbas (Radiyallahu Anhu) when a man arrived. This man first performed wudhu in an excellent manner and then stood to perform Salah. Thereafter, a woman appeared, performed wudhu in the same manner and also stood to perform Salah. A little while later, an eleven-year-old boy arrived. He also performed wudhu and stood to perform Salah at the side of this man.
I asked Hazrat Abbas (Radiyallahu Anhu), “What religion is this?” He replied, “This is the Deen of my nephew, Muhammad Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), who says that Allah Ta‘ala has made him a Rasul. This youngster is also my nephew and a follower of this Deen. This woman is the wife of Muhammed bin ‘Abdillah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).”
Hazrat ‘Afeef Kindi (Radiyallahu Anhu) later on embraced Islam. He would often lament, “If only I was the fourth person to embrace Islam.” (Seeratul Mustafa 1/160-161)
