The social challenges affecting the Ummah are serious and require constant combatting through education, workshops and awareness. In keeping with this need Darul Ihsan convenes educational programmes to educate the community.

In October this year a series of programmes were held in Strand, Cape Town on the all important aspect of marriage. These programmes are particularly important for the young, unmarried and married women to contribute towards the development of their spiritual upliftment, character and capacity as humans.

The program entailed a ‘5-week primary programme’ held on Saturday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm, from 8 October 2016 until 5 November 2016. Attended by some 60 sisters, the participants found the course both intensive and educational. Certificates of participation were given to all who completed the course.

Additionally, a Marriage and Pre-Marriage workshop was held in Middelburg in conjunction with the Tarbiyyah Committee of Middelburg. A special programme was also dedicated to "Creating an Environment of Ihsan in the Home" - dealing with the upbringing of children.

The programs were well received with acknowledgement and thanks from the respective communities.
