The 62 year house located in the Howick area required urgent attention due to dilapidation of its roof structure, which was not only a necessity but also a danger to the occupant family.
Further assessment of the home saw the need for refurbishment to the interior of the home as well.
The team went ahead and replaced the entire roof structure as the initial phase of the renovations.
The entire roof was removed and replaced with IBR sheeting and a new ceiling was also installed.
Refurbishment to the interior is expected to be completed in due course, Insha Allah.
Darul Ihsan Centre’s ‘Home Improvement’ project aspires to provide essential renovation and refurbishment to existing dwellings for owners who would otherwise find it impossible to do so.
The directives of the ‘Home Improvement’ project are - amongst other things - to better the living conditions, provide safety and security for the occupant families
Alhamdulillah, the generous contributions of the community go a long way in bringing relief and joy to families who could not afford to carry out necessary repairs and renovations.
