The school programme was held to impress upon the learners the importance of service to humanity and to highlight the contribution of Nelson Mandela to South Africa.
Maulana Huzayfa Noor and Maulana Junaid Khan conducted the programme on behalf of Darul Ihsan. Both Maulana Noor and Maulana Khan gave an introduction of the activities of Darul Ihsan Centre to the learners and motivated them on the need, importance and reward of community work.
In addressing a packed audience of 450 learners Maulana Junaid urged learners to take lessons from history and people like Mandela who underwent many hardships in life but continued to persevere.
The message of the day was “success lies in obedience to the Creator, tolerance, forgiveness and having full hope and trust in the Almighty”.
Grade 1 and 2 pupils were given complimentary school bags and biscuit packs were given to all present.
The Principal, Mr. Daviparsad, and pupils of the school were greatly appreciative of the initiative.
