Shaikh Hashim Ahmad - a renowned scholar, educator and an entrepreneur spoke on the ‘Ubudiyyah Business Model’ (UBM) - a holistic Islamic business concept which endeavours towards the ‘total adoption’ of Shariah compliancy in business and trade practice for Muslim businessmen.

Mufti Zubair Bayat, the Ameer of Darul Ihsan Centre, welcomed Shaikh Hashim Ahmad and thanked the Muslim business fraternity for attending the programme and for their contribution to the needs of the greater Muslim community - both locally and globally - especially in times of crises.
The honourable Shaikh Hashim Ahmad accepted Islam in 1971. He completed a degree from the Faculty of Dawah Wa Usool Deen at the Jami’ah Qura Makkah Mukurramah with specialization in the sciences of Quran and Hadith. He taught at various Islamic institutions in Pakistan and currently focuses on developing the comprehensive UBM to guide Muslims in particular and humanity at large in transforming their business activities from a worldly (dunya) activity to a religious duty (deen).
