Darul Ihsan Centre held several Zakat programmes in various Masajid in KZN on 22 Sunday July 2012. The programmes, which are held annually, were conducted in Pietermaritzburg, Stanger, Asherville, Overport and Westville.

Discussions centered on the virtues of Zakat, method of calculation, distribution and warnings for those who flout this obligation. The programmes also catered for question and answers from the participants on verdicts pertaining to this pillar of Islam. A brochure explaining basic rulings on Zakat was distributed to enhance the quality of the programme and interaction from participants.

The programmes were well-attended and proved beneficial to the participants.
