A number of 50 sets of food parcels were handed out to patients on 22 October 2026 at the clinic, with the intention of helping and supporting vulnerable members of the Sea Cow Lake community. The letter expressed the handouts would make a meaningful difference in the lives of its patients, especially those who are experiencing financial strain and food insecurity.

The handouts were met with deep appreciation by recipients, many of whom are struggling with unemployment and being single parents to children.

The nursing manager’s letter continued, “Your gesture demonstrates compassion, ubuntu and genuine commitment to improving the wellbeing of our community.

“We are grateful for your partnership and for recognizing the needs of the patients we serve. May your organization continue to grow from strength to strength and may your generosity inspire others to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.”

The Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre and outreach team hopes to continue serving and benefiting communities and institutions in need through similar initiatives in future.
