Situated in an area affected by poverty and crime, the institute has established itself as a centre for Ṣalah, Madrasah education, and Da'wah, addressing both religious needs and broader social challenges within the community.
Ṣalah in Jama'ah is conducted five times daily under the guidance of a regular Imam, with Jumu'ah Ṣalah held weekly. Both incoming and outgoing Tabligh programmes are facilitated on a regular basis.
A full-time Madrasah operates from Monday to Friday between 15:30 and 17:30, currently serving 41 learners. The Madrasah also provides daily snacks, as many of the children come from households where food after school is not always available.
During the blessed month of Ramaḍan, a complete Taraeeḥ programme is held, and Ifṭar is provided for many musallees from deprived backgrounds. In addition, ongoing Daʿwah efforts among non-Muslims aim to establish a lasting and positive Islamic presence within the area.
Through these initiatives, the Sir Lowry’s Pass Village Musalla continues to strengthen faith, nurture youth, and serve humanity for the pleasure of Allah.
We thank our generous donors and well wishers for their ongoing support in this initiative. We call on Muslims of the Cape region ot support this local initiative.
