The teams were shown heartfelt thanks and appreciation by residents of all ages for their generous and steadfast efforts during this time.
This year, the team distributed over 8,000 meals a month to deserving communities across Durban and Pietermaritzburg, amounting to approximately 100,000 meals in total for 2024.
The Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s ‘Feed the Needy’ initiative has served countless communities for almost 20 years, providing delicious and sustaining meals to informal settlements as well as almost 12,000 snack packs to old age homes, clinics, and special needs schools monthly.
With the grace of Allah, the generous donations received and the tireless work of staff and volunteers has made it possible for the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre to continue providing hot meals to those in need on a regular basis.
