Fortunate are the ones who possess a house. However, its upkeep is also vitally important. A neglected dream-house, without realising it, will very quickly become a derelict eye-sore and a severe liability.

The “Home Improvement Project” helps low-income homeowners to repair and restore their delapidated dwellings, in a bid to improve the general condition of their homes and make them liveable.

 Those who have been assisted by are quite appreciative. The following is a letter of thanks from a grateful recent recipient.

Assallahmu Alaikum WR WB.

I and my family hope our greetings of Love and Peace reach you all when in good health and spirits inshallah.

It gives me (us) great pleasure to pen this letter of Appreciation and Gratitude to Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre for the assistance rendered. The assistance was for fencing equipment because of being allocated a corner house in Cornubia, my neighbour’s saw it fit for them to dump their weekly garbage in my yard converting it into a DSW pickup point for a dreadful 18 months. After approaching Darul Ihsan only did I get joy and peace of mind Alhamdulillah. Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre offered to help with the fencing material and also offered to pay for Labour due to my financial status. With the fencing now being erected, my family is at peace from the bad garbage odour and rat’s infestation especially in the summer.

Added to this Allah swt has chosen me to be part of a Muslim Burial Team Servicing the Rural of Durban. I am able to have the Hearse parked in my dignified fenced yard from time to time, Masha Allah, all because of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s generosity.

May Allah swt grant your Humanitarian Organization an abundance of Barakah including the humble natured staff till infinity Inshallah. May Allah swt also keep you'll steadfast in your good work.
