Hajj is from the five pillars of Islām and is fard upon every sane and mature believer who possesses the means to perform hajj.

Q: Muslims today follow football teams and other sports with lots of ardency, passion and energy. People make dua for victory of their team and spend hours in discussion on results, players, teams and results. Young children will be seen idolising their favourite player and sporting jerseys with his name imprinted on it. Is this desirable and okay for a Muslim. Can we make dua for our team ?
Q: Social media platforms like Whatsapp, Twitter, facebook and others allow a person to post a profile picture with one’s portfolio and contact detail. People use this to post a photograph of themselves, spouse, child, some animate object or a picture of something relating to their personal life. Is this permissible? Please explain.
Q: Performing Salah on a journey can become difficult especially on a long flight when 2 or 3 Salah need to be performed in flight. Is it necessary to perform the Salah in the time whilst on journey or is one allowed to forego the prayer and perform it later? What happens when a person is travelling on an aircraft and the flight attendants refuse permission to stand and face Qiblah for Salah?
