Regular Educational programmes for the public are held for the public in Masjids throughout the province. The topics included discussions on Zakah, Qurbani, Salah, Taharah, Marriage, Asharum minal Fitrah, etc.

Darul Ihsan has embarked on a programme titled Azmatu Ahlil Bayt was Sahabah (Excellence of the Noble Family & Companions of Nabi r) - a programme series in honour of the Sahabah (RA). Programmes are on-going and are held in different towns and cities of KwaZulu-Natal.

The programmes department facilitates 45 Jumuah bayans at 25 venues in the greater Durban area. Guidelines have been drawn up for speakers based on significant dates and events occurring in the year.

  1. Ghusal & Kafan Classes
  2. Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre, in its ongoing education and skills programmes, conducts ‘Ghusal & Kafan’ classes for females and males.
  3. Thus far 30 ‘Ghusal & Kafan’ programmes have been conducted in Durban and surrounding areas and in other towns of Kwazulu-Natal.
  4. The classes for males are presented by Hajee Yacoob Mulla and females by Apa Amla.
  5. Both have many years of experience and knowledge in the field and participants give regular positive feedback.
  6. ‘Kafan sets’ for males and females are available from the Centre at no cost.
