This week, Italy dispatched food and medical supplies to Gaza via a humanitarian flight. Included in the aid is over 60 tonnes of food, hygiene and sanitary kits, and 150 tents, according to a foreign ministry statement.
Additionally, 100 injured children from Gaza will be received in Italy for medical treatment.
In May, Italy stated that it would allocate $32.8 million towards food for Gaza, continuing with its funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Palestine.
