All Ceylon Jammiatul Ulama Turns 100

On Thursday – 19th January 2023 – the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) hosted a centenary of service.

The ACJU was founded in Sri Lanka in the year 1924; Hijri 1344; and has since been focused on serving the Muslim community and nation through spiritual, ethical, and moral Islamic guidance.

Currently, the ACJU boasts 163 branches in 24 districts, and has over 8000 scholars and subscribed members.

In remembrance of the services provided by religious scholars passed in the organisation, the ACJU President and the Executive Committee hosted a commemorative event. This event featured distinguished guests such as the President of the Democratic Socialist of the Republic of Sri Lanka, the Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist of Sri Lanka, as well as Moulana Ebrahim Ismail Bham as a guest speaker from the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa.

The team at Darul Ihsan Centre recognises the stellar services provided by the ACJU over the many years, and sincerely hopes that they may continue to offer invaluable guidance in the future.
