Learner Development Programme ends the year on a high note

DURBAN: Darul Ihsan recently held its final Learner Development Programme (LDP) for 2021 – the focus of which was problem solving on working through daily life challenges.

The workshop, on November 6, held at the organisation’s headquarters in Sea Cow Lake with another strong attendance of ulama and students.

Entitled ‘Problem Solving’, it was part of a quarterly programme hosted by the organisation, this one being the fourth and final one of the past year.

The main presentation was delivered by education expert and academic, Ahmed Bayat. There was also a question and answer session conducted by Darul Ihsan’s Mufti Shafique Jakhura and motivational advices delivered by a scholar from the USA.

Topics presented included problems people face on a daily basis, both at home and within society, the social media factor, intelligence, task commitment and creativity.

“This was another successful programme that was well received by everyone involved. We would like to thank our guests who took the time out of their busy schedules, prepared these special sessions and then came through to present to a young and enthusiastic audience,” said programme co-ordinator, Maulana Ameer.

“We would like to place on record our sincere thanks and gratitude for the programs Darul Ihsan has been organising for our tertiary students,” Shabier Nhleko of the MA Motala Centre said. “We value the partnership and cooperation both institutions have maintained thus far and hope it will grow InshaAllah.”

The LDP programme has been gaining in popularity after the initial few workshops and Darul Ihsan plans to expand it even further in 2022. The organisation provides a range of educational, awareness, leadership and mentorship programmes for school and tertiary learners.

These programmes are a free service to our community and can be accessed by prior arrangement at our Centre or request to visit your institute.
