DURBAN: One of South Africa’s largest township investment projects has opened its door just north of the city of Durban.
Midway Crossing in the Ntuzuma area has been rounded off at a cost at R980 million and includes 40 percent shareholding by the local community.
The centre was formally in recent days, bringing shopping amenities and services closer to the local community and surrounding centres such as Lindelani and Newlands.
Development of the centre created approximately 1 100 jobs during the construction phase and is expected to create employment for thousands more in the retail sector.
