The fatal shooting of three young people in the US is tragic. However, the manner in which the mainstream press in the US - and elsewhere - has covered the killings, are still debating on how to cover the killings or even lack thereof is presented in the feature article by the writer Kevin Sullivan.
The spectre of bias is a very real, every-day phenomenon and will always rear its ugly head in what is today journalism gone awry.
Media houses perpetuating agendas of bias are also the culprits.
The Mercury is to be commended and must continue publishing articles like these as they offer perspectives of responsible journalism to its readership.
