During the month of May, the Acting Centre Manager of the Thembalethu Care Centre in Lamontville expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s (DHC) ongoing support of the institute over the years.
The Lamontville Thembalethu Care Centre is a day care centre for orphaned and vulnerable children. The centre also caters for grandmother-headed and destitute families, as well as single parents.
With the help of DHC'S contributions, the Thembalethu Care Centre has been able to become a well-resourced and developed institution capable of supporting vulnerable children and families affected by HIV/Aids, poverty, and unemployment.
The services made possible range from the distribution of clothing and food, after-school care programs for primary school children, weekly computer classes, gardening projects, and a variety of other educational sessions.
The Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre is committed to helping and uplifting local community centres in need, and hopes to continue to work together with respective leaders to uphold this vision for years to come.
