KWAZULU-NATAL: Darul Ihsan Centre continues to expand its skills development initiatives by launching operations in Danhauser in Northern KwaZulu-Natal.
The recently opened Al Ihsan Fashion & Design training centre is the fourth one that the organisation now runs, with two sets of graduates having already progressed through the course, which runs for four weeks.
In operation since 2019, the course entails basic entry level cutting, machining and sewing skills development which allow participants to plan, cut and prepare a basic garment such as a dress, skirt, shopping bag, etc.
The course is offered at three other Al Ihsan Skills Centres - Demat, Mount Vernon and Pietermaritzburg. To date approximately 313 participants have successfully completed the program at different venues, with many of them subsequently securing employment within the industry.
Plans are in place to add the Caregiver and the Computer Literacy Courses to the same venue in the months ahead.
