Darul Ihsan brings water to South Coast family

KWAZULU-NATAL: The Darul Ihsan Relief Team has provided a poverty-stricken family on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast with the gift of water.

The organisation received a request to step in from the Office of the KwaZulu-Natal Premier and the Nelly Zikalala Foundation, who it works closely with, to come to the rescue of the Thabethe family in Umthwalume - Thuthwini area in ward 19.

The family composes of five members, all of whom are unemployed and were desperately in need of a Jojo tank to help them with their dire water trouble.

“These are requests that we receive from time to time as part of our work with the KZN Premier Spousal Office,” Abdul Saeed Sheik of the Darul Ihsan Relief Team said. “There was a genuine need from this family, who live in pitiful conditions and we hope this contribution will help improve their lives.

“The family was exceptionally grateful and we would like to thank all those who helped us to make this possible.”

These outreaches at Darul Ihsan are carried out through the generous contributions and ongoing support of the Muslim community. If you would like to be part of the initiative and contribute, please contact us on 031 5777868 or donate online via the website
