Darul Ihsan’s “Sponsor-A-Blanket” project received a major shot in the arm in the last few days after the Orient Islamic School made a substantial contribution towards the initiative.
The annual blanket distribution drive, that has been steadfast for over a decade, will use the funds to expand its reach to those in need within the underprivileged communities.
Over the past 11 years, more than 75,000 blankets have been distributed to the poor across the country, an initiative which sees quality blankets distributed nationally to the most impoverished and cold hit areas of our country.
“We would like to thank the Orient Islamic School for coming on board and helping us once again this year,” Abdul Saeed Sheik, the “Sponsor-A-Blanket” Project Lead, said. “It is the fourth year in a row that they have partnered with us and we are indebted to their learners and parents for making this contribution. The funds go a long way towards helping those in need.”
These and other outreaches of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre are made possible through the generous contributions and ongoing support of the Muslim community.
