Hazrat Abdur Rahman ibn Auf (R) leads Salah

Hazrat Mughairah ibn Shubah (R) narrates: “Once we were with Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) on a journey when Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) asked me to accompany him to relieve himself and to fetch water for Wudhu. I presented the water and Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) performed Wudhu and made Masah on his Khuffain (leather socks).

We then went to perform Salah. The Salah had commenced and Hazrat Abdur Rahman ibn Auf (R) was the Imam. I tried to inform him that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was present but Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) stopped me. So we joined the Jamat for whatever portion was left, and we completed the missed Rakats thereafter.” (Sunan Nasai)

The Sahabi who assisted the Ummahat-ul-Mu'mineen (RA)

Hazrat Abdur Rahman ibn Auf (R) also donated a garden to the Ummahat-ul-Mu'mineen (RA), which was sold for 40 000 – of the currency of that era. (Mishkat
