The healthcare facility, was closed due to vandalism and residents were forced to travel to neighbouring areas to access clinics. Acting Mayor Peer applauded organisations for bringing healthcare services closer to the people.
“Once this facility is up and running, I will extend an invite to the KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu so that our government can assist.”
“As Acting Mayor, I pledge to also ensure the sustainability of this facility.
Acting Mayor Peer urged residents to work with the organisation to ensure that the facility is not vandalised. The facility will begin to operate next month. It will start by opening one day a week and will be free of charge to the community.
