The fear of religious organisations and parents associations that the distribution of condoms at public schools may promote sex among pupils is a very real one.
Darul Ihsan Centre - an education, religious and welfare organisation - adds its voice to all organisations who are disappointed at the gazetting of the distribution of condoms at public schools by the Department of Basic Education.
Our organisation has previously objected to the distribution of condoms at public schools.
The aim at all schools should be for pupils to be educated, be responsible and, of course, be taught moral values so that they can become upright adults.
The knowledge students learn from mathematics, science, history and languages will amount to nothing if schools do not teach them moral values, ethics and respect for the rights of others as well.
