At a recent function of eminent businessmen, professionals and Ulama, Darul Ihsan unveiled its new identity and logo. Due to the expansion and diverse projects of the organisation there was a pressing need for a name and image change. Accordingly the name “Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre” was adopted.
The ‘Drug Awareness Drive’ (‘DAD’), an initiative of Darul Ihsan Centre presented a series of educational programmes on drug and substance abuse in Empangeni and Richards Bay on Friday, 03 November 2017
The ‘DAD’ team representing Darul Ihsan Centre comprised three senior Ulama viz., Maulana Zakaria Murchie, a drug and substance abuse researcher and specialist, Maulana Mohamed Ameer, a counsellor and Maulana Abdul Haq Badat, a pharmacist.

After a successful Pre-Ramadan programme held earlier in the year, another programme was held over the weekend, this time to highlight the seasonal topics of Hajj and Qurbani. Over 400 people converged at Masjid Bilal in Castlehill, Newlands West for the “Hajj & Qurbani Programme” on Sunday, 27 August 2017.
