Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre held its annual Seerah event for 2018/Rabi Ul Awwal 1440 on Sunday, 18 November 2018 at Masjid Bilal in Newlands West. The programme was very well attended by men, women and children from communities in and around Lindelani, Richmond Farm, Inanda, Umlazi, Kwa Mashu, Castle Hill, Newlands East and West and surrounding areas. Participants from Mpumalanga and Free State were also in attendance.
Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s Outreach Team facilitated meals for children at the Anjuman Eikhavatool Islam Orphanage in Mayville on Saturday, 10 November 2018.
Poverty, harsh economic conditions and a high rate of unemployment is making extremely difficult for households to survive. Families are finding extreme difficulty to meet their daily needs of food, rental, utilities, medical expenses, transport, school fees, frail care, clothing, stationery, etc. The list goes on.
Darul Ihsan Ulama engaged with Imams, Ulama and scholars of Newcastle, Benoni and nearby towns of Northern KZN to present a broad based Ulama empowerment programme.
Households in the Durban suburb of Phoenix and surrounding areas are affected by many social conditions which impact negatively on their lives. One among the many challenges experienced is massive unemployment which has resulted is not only poverty but a desperate need for even a single meal for the day.
The Social Department of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre, in its ongoing campaign to educate and empower Muslims conducted several workshops in Stanger on 17th and 18th October 2018.
