Outreach in Malagazi

In Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s ongoing drive to support indigent communities, the Centre recently provided food relief to residents in Malagazi.

On Saturday 14 September 2019 the Relief Team of the Centre, together with community volunteers, distributed over 600 hot-packed meals, biscuits, potato crisps and fruit to residents at an informal area in Malagazi, south of Durban.

Thembi Khumalo and Reshika Alwar, coordinators of the area who - in conjunction with the Relief Team and volunteers - facilitated and assisted in the efficient distribution of the provisions to the residents in the area.
Both coordinators expressed their gratitude to the Centre for providing the meals and snacks to residents in the area.

“We really appreciate the gesture of your organisation and the care shown by your team and volunteers for the residents - their interaction with them is humbling. We thank Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre on behalf of all residents for the meals and snacks provided and look forward to the next meal distribution by your kind organisation. May the Almighty continue to bless you.”

These outreaches are made possible through the generous contributions and ongoing support of the Muslim community.
