Madrasah Bilal & other Madrasahs Year End Jalsa Programme

Students, parents and teachers from Malagazi, Inanda, Quarry Heights, Waterloo, Zinyati and Castlehill converged to attend the year-end Jalsa of their respective Madrasahs at Castlehill Primary Hall in Newlands West. The programme was convened by Darul Ihsan on behalf of Madrasah Bilal, a primary Madrasah based at Masjid Bilal, Newlands West.

The idea was to provide an opportunity for the young energetic students to display their potential and zeal for learning Islam. And true to expectation, potential is plenty – the students rendered Qiraat recitations, Zulu Poetry, performed sketches, called out the melodious Azaan and sang Nasheeds.

With 6 participating Institutes there were 350 students and some 250 parents in attendance. Awards were given for the most improved, hardworking and best attendance. Certificates were awarded to best achievers in their respective institute.

The day culminated with acknowledgement of the progress and potential of our young indigenous learners. Many parents expressed their wish to allow their children to pursue further Islamic studies and achieve their potential.

Darul Ihsan congratulates all the learners, their teachers and parents for their tremendous efforts. Masha Allah.

These programmes are undertaken and conducted through the duas, support and contribution of the Muslim community. May Allah Ta’ala accept the efforts of all contributing positively to the building of the Ummah.
