The ‘Taqwa School of Excellence’ - based in Mayfair West, Johannesburg - is an educational initiative of Darul Ihsan Centre established in January 2012.

Darul Ihsan Centre provided hot meals and cool drinks to all residents and staff members at the Natal Settlers Home at Umbilo, Durban on Thursday 18 January 2018.

On Sunday, 21 January 2018 Darul Ihsan Centre’s outreach team - together with volunteers – distributed 275 hot packed meals to disadvantaged children and adults at the Rainbow Ridge informal settlement in Clare Estate, Durban.

A fire incident at 00:10 on Monday, 01 January 2018 at the Foreman Road Informal Settlement (Clare Estate, Durban) destroyed 35 shack dwellings and displaced at least 80 residents.

Darul Ihsan Centre, in its ongoing education programmes for the community/Ummah, facilitated another ‘Ghusl’ course for adult ladies on Saturday, 04 November 2017 at the SANZAF office in the Durban CBD area.

The ‘Drug Awareness Drive’ (‘DAD’), an initiative of Darul Ihsan Centre presented a series of educational programmes on drug and substance abuse in Empangeni and Richards Bay on Friday, 03 November 2017
The ‘DAD’ team representing Darul Ihsan Centre comprised three senior Ulama viz., Maulana Zakaria Murchie, a drug and substance abuse researcher and specialist, Maulana Mohamed Ameer, a counsellor and Maulana Abdul Haq Badat, a pharmacist.
