Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre outreach at Tafta

In a recent outreach programme Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre (DHC) handed food hampers to 200 of the most deserving senior residents of ‘The Association For The Aged’ (Tafta) on Thursday, 20 December 2018.

Ms Nirupa Kasserchun, the fundraising Manager of Tafta, selected senior residents from four different Tafta residences namely; Tafta Lodge, Kings Hall, Tafta Park and St. Martins.

The distribution of the hampers took place at the functions hall of Tafta Lodge at 42 South Beach Avenue, Durban.

Ms Kasserchun introduced team members of DHC to all present at the hall and expressed her sincere appreciation to Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre for their benevolent and continuing support to residents of Tafta.

Mr Hamid Adams, an active volunteer member and facilitator of specific outreach projects for DHC gave an introductory speech cherishing all elders present with a brief synopsis of DHC’s community outreach projects.

Ms Kasserchun, staff members of Tafta Lodge and team members of DHC facilitated and distributed the hampers individually to all elders that were present.

All senior members expressed their sincere gratitude for having received the hampers.

These outreaches are made possible through the generous contributions and ongoing support of the Muslim community.
