As responsible citizens, it is important to comply fully with the regulations that are in the best interests of all the citizens of our country.
In these trying times, it is of utmost importance that Muslims turn to Allah Ta’ala. The five daily Salah are the most pivotal of all our actions. These circumstances should strengthen our resolve to perform Salah on its prescribed time.
It is reported in a Hadith that once Rasulullah r went to solve a dispute between the Ansar of Madinah and when he returned, Zuhr Salah was already completed in the Masjid. So he went home and read Zuhr Salah with his family. (Tabrani)
NB. Please comply with the rules of congregational Salah at home.
Some Ahadith that highlight the virtues and warnings pertaining to Salah:
Hazrat Anas (R) narrates that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallan) said, “The first thing that a person will be questioned about is his Salah.” (Tabrani)
Hazrat Umar (R) narrates that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallan) said, “Prayer is a pillar of faith. Whoever abandons it has destroyed his faith.” (Bayhaqi)
Hazrat Umar (R) reported that a man asked Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallan): " O Messenger of Allah, what action is dearest to Allah Most High?" Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallan) replied: "Prayer at its proper time. The one who does not pray has no religion. Prayer is the main pillar of the faith." (Baihaqi)
Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (R) narrates that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallan) said “The prayer in congregation is twenty seven times superior to the prayer offered by a person alone.” (Bukhari)
From the aforementioned Ahadith, it is of vital importance that we perform Salah punctually. It is through repentance, good deeds and Dua that the mercy of Allah Ta’ala will descend.
