An introduction to the honourable guest and his lifelong services to Islam was delivered by Moulana Rashid Soomro (Hafizahullah). He highlighted the tireless efforts of Moulana Fazlur Rahman in upholding the true tenets of Islam in Pakistan and his unwavering support for Islamic educational institutions dedicated to imparting authentic religious knowledge.
On behalf of Darul Ihsan Centre, a formal word of appreciation was presented to the guest in the form of a framed letter by the Ameer of Darul Ihsan, Mufti Zubair Bayat. Hazrat Moulana Fazlur Rehman (Hafizahullah) graciously accepted the gift and expressed his appreciation.
Hazrat Moulana (Hafizahullah) was then invited to address a distinguished gathering of local ʿUlama and students of Jamia Al Ihsan. The audience included senior Ulama of Durban as well as prominent businessmen from the community. Hazrat delivered a powerful and insightful address on the different types of knowledge, emphasising the distinction between beneficial knowledge and knowledge devoid of action. He reminded scholars and students alike of their responsibility to embody, preserve, and transmit knowledge with sincerity, humility, and purpose.
